Mother's Day Weekend!

Mother's Day will always be bittersweet for me. My sweet Jordan was due on Mother's Day, but died eight weeks earlier.

My sweet amazing family knows how hard Mother's Day is for me and they all put out an amazing effort to make my weekend more sweet and less bitter.

Charles told me I had to wake up early on Saturday morning, at first that sounded like a very unpleasant way to begin Mother's Day weekend! But I got to have a fun morning of shopping, a makeover and lunch with my Mother In Law!! I love my new look, it feels great to just have a whole new me!

When we got home, Charles and the kids were waiting for us with a wonderful cheese tasting snack! Chris had gone to World Market and bought lots of cheese and bread samples, yummy! My boys all were playfully enjoying our tasty snack together. While I was gone, they had done a major spring cleaning overhaul to the house, it was beautiful!! Not only did they put stuff away, they actually used cleansers and the vacuum!! Everything was immaculate!! I can't imagine a better thing to come home to, happy kids, clean house and food!!

Then Saturday night, Charles, his mom, and I went to play Bingo, we had lots of fun, but sadly we didn't win any money!

Sunday, we went to church that was kind of hard and sad of course, Mother's Day Sunday probably will always be a bit sad for me. Then we went home, to more presents!! Zach gave me a beautiful Winne the Pooh watch, Ben gave me a fun puzzle, and Chris gave me a big bag of dark chocolate candy (yum). Charles had gifts for me from my Heavenly babies, so sweet, I was moved to tears, in a very sweet way. And Charles got me a Willow Tree Figurine to add to my collection. A very thoughtful gift since he knows I love the figurines and the one he gave me was of a man and woman in a loving embrace, a great way to acknowledge the positive changes we have seen in our marriage recently.

Later we played in our pool and had a yummy BBQ!! Zach is becoming a pro with charcoal, and Charles made the best potato salad ever, Mother in law brought a great salad over and joined us!

Here are some fun pictures of our family from Saturday!
